About me
Hi, I'm Gwyn, and I'm currently studying for my PhD in glacial geomorphology at Sheffield Hallam University. My research interests are centered around palaeo-ice sheet reconstructions and exploring how transverse ridge morphology (specifically, De Geer moraines) can be utilised to refine spatiotemporal resolutions of ice margins. The study area for my project extends across southwest Finland with a view to producing a refined reconstruction of the SW Finnish sector of the Fennoscandian Ice Sheet.

Since starting my PhD, I have gained experience in a variety of different research methods including remote sensing and Python-coded ArcGIS tool development, as well as in-field techniques such as sedimentology, ground penetrating radar, unmanned aerial vehicle operation and cosmogenic nuclide sampling.
I have had great opportunities to work with collaborators both locally and internationally, and I have enjoyed being involved in a variety of different outreach and dissemination events.
